Parent responsibilities
On partnership tracks, the family operates the student's primary educational program at home. X• Prep is a partner, not the school of record. The following responsibilities remain with the family at all times.
3.1
Curriculum
The family selects, purchases, and administers all curriculum used in the student's primary at-home program. X• Prep does not approve, require, or provide curriculum for at-home use. Tutoring offered on instruction days for 3-Day Hybrid students supports the family-selected curriculum but does not replace it. The school maintains a short list of curricula that pair well with the 3-Day Hybrid instructional model. The list is advisory only.
3.2
Accreditation and transcripts
X• Prep does not issue a diploma or a school-issued transcript for students enrolled on partnership tracks. The student's school of record is the family's homeschool program. The family is responsible for producing, maintaining, and signing the student's transcript. The family is responsible for issuing the diploma at graduation.
X• Prep offers Cognia-accredited high school coursework for its full five-day program. Partnership tracks are not covered under that accreditation. Families that require a school-issued transcript or a school-issued diploma should refer to the Academics page for full enrollment options.
3.3
NCAA eligibility (Athletics Only)
Students pursuing NCAA Division I or Division II athletics must meet the NCAA Eligibility Center's requirements for homeschool student-athletes. The family is responsible for:
- Selecting a transcript provider listed on the NCAA Eligibility Center's approved providers list, or producing documentation that meets the Eligibility Center's homeschool standards
- Completing the NCAA core-course requirements with documented coursework
- Registering with the NCAA Eligibility Center
- Submitting SAT or ACT scores directly to the Eligibility Center
- Providing all required documentation to the Eligibility Center on the timeline the student's recruiting requires
X• Prep coaching staff support the athletic development of the student and provide game film, performance data, and coach contact for recruiting purposes. Academic eligibility documentation is not produced or maintained by X• Prep on partnership tracks.
3.4
State homeschool compliance
The family is responsible for compliance with all applicable Texas homeschool requirements. X• Prep does not file, report, or document homeschool status with any state agency on the family's behalf.
3.5
Record keeping
The family is responsible for maintaining all academic records for the student, including coursework completion, grades, attendance for at-home instruction, and any documentation required by curriculum providers, state agencies, or post-secondary institutions to which the student applies.
MAP Growth assessment score reports administered on campus are provided to the family for the family's records.
