Race & Background
We actively seek students and families from every racial, ethnic, and cultural background. A homogeneous community is a limited one.
We want the full picture.
Where We Stand
X• Prep is a place where every person belongs. Regardless of where they come from, what they believe, or how they see the world. The only requirement is mutual respect.
We do not just tolerate difference at X• Prep. We actively pursue it. Diversity of race, background, faith, thought, and perspective makes our community stronger, our conversations richer, and our students more prepared for the world they are about to enter. We are unapologetic about that.
Inclusion at X• Prep is not a soft concept. It is a standard.
What We Mean By Diversity
Diversity is not a single axis. Here is what we actually mean.
We actively seek students and families from every racial, ethnic, and cultural background. A homogeneous community is a limited one.
We want the full picture.
X• Prep is a secular program. We do not promote any belief system. We approach every faith and worldview with genuine curiosity and deep respect. Faith is a personal matter and belongs in the home.
All are welcome here.
A community that only challenges students from one direction is doing them a disservice.
Differing viewpoints are not a problem to manage. They are a resource to develop.
Families come in every shape. Every structure is welcome at X• Prep.
The only thing we evaluate is the commitment a family brings. Not the form it takes.
Our financial assistance model exists specifically to ensure that economic circumstance is never the reason a committed student cannot be here.
Effort is the price of admission.
Our mastery-based, adaptive model is built to meet students where they are. Not where a standardized curriculum assumes they should be.
Every mind works differently. We work with that.
How We Engage
X• Prep does not promote a specific belief system. What we promote is the intellectual habit of approaching every belief, every worldview, and every perspective with genuine curiosity rather than reflexive judgment.
Our students are taught to ask better questions, not to arrive at predetermined answers. They learn to sit with ideas they disagree with long enough to actually understand them. That is not weakness — that is the foundation of genuine conviction. You cannot truly own what you believe if you have never honestly examined what others believe.
Seek to understand before you seek to respond. Every belief system has something to teach us about the human experience.
Disagree with an idea as vigorously as you like. Disrespect the person holding it and you are out of bounds. Full stop.
The measure of a difficult conversation is not whether it happens. It is how. We engage with hard topics. We do it with intellectual honesty and mutual dignity.
We do not promote or diminish any belief system. What you believe is yours. How you treat the person next to you is ours.
The standard for engagement is not agreement. It is respect, curiosity, and the willingness to think.
Clarity on Our Position
Inclusion is a standard. Like every standard at X• Prep, it has edges.
What We Are
A community that actively seeks and celebrates diversity in every form.
A secular program that respects and explores theology with genuine curiosity.
An environment where differing viewpoints make the community stronger.
A place where the standard for belonging is mutual respect. Nothing more, nothing less.
An institution that holds itself to the same inclusive standard it asks of its students.
What We Are Not
A program that promotes or endorses any specific religion, political ideology, or belief system.
A community where any background, race, or belief system is treated as superior to another.
An environment that confuses inclusion with the absence of standards. The X• Standard applies to everyone equally.
A place where disrespect toward any person or group is tolerated, regardless of the justification.
An echo chamber. We actively seek the friction of different perspectives.
The Herd
The Bison herd is stronger because it is made up of individuals who are each bringing something different. That is not a coincidence. That is the design.
A herd that all looks and thinks the same is slower. More predictable. Easier to stop. We are building the opposite. A community of students whose differences are not despite the standard but are part of how the standard gets met.
The standard does not care where you come from. It cares what you bring.
A Bison herd is stronger because it is different. So are we.
You Belong Here
Whatever your background, your belief, or your story. If you share our standard of effort and mutual respect, there is a seat at this table for you.
